The increased distance between the tool holder and the bottom cutting edge significantly improves process reliability, even when machining workpieces with irregular stock allowance or welded areas with varying material structures.
The AHR-MINI Free-Bottom has been specifically developed for roughing applications in cast iron, stainless steels, as well as alloyed and hardened steels up to 62 HRC.
Thanks to its optimized tool geometry, workpieces with irregular stock allowance or welded areas with varying material structures can be machined safely and collision-free.
The increased bottom clearance ensures that even demanding applications with high metal removal rates (Q-Max) can be performed reliably and efficiently.
