With the AHJ series, we are expanding our portfolio with a multifunctional indexable tool that combines a wide range of machining processes in a single solution.
Thanks to its unique holder geometry, the AHJ is suitable not only for standard milling applications such as side and bottom machining, but also for drilling operations and other applications that require center-cutting capabilities.
The AHJ has been specifically designed for machining cast iron and alloy steels up to ≤ 35 HRC, offering outstanding process reliability and maximum application flexibility.
Due to the special arrangement of its inserts, the AHJ combines the advantages of both a drilling and a milling tool. This allows a wide range of machining operations to be performed efficiently and economically with a single tool.
Benefits of Machining with AHJ:
- Optimized rake angle geometry for reduced cutting forces
- Optimized insert arrangement enables direct axial plunging or plunging at very steep entry angles
- Wide range of machining options, including plunge milling, side and bottom machining, drilling, helical interpolation, and more, with a single tool
- High process flexibility thanks to the innovative tool geometry
- Reliable performance when machining cast iron and alloy steels up to ≤ 35 HRC
