MOLDINO Tool Engineering, a world-leading Japanese tool manufacturer of milling and drilling tools for soft and hard processing in the mold and die making industry, is expanding its direct sales for the Austrian market. “MOLDINO has already established a broad customer base in Austria. We will soon expand our team, consisting of two process optimizers for Upper Austria and Tyrol, with a further team member for the Vorarlberg region,” reports Karsten Baas, Team Leader Sales with responsibility for Austria. “Our mid-term planning envisages five to six process optimizers. We will therefore soon be moving into new offices in Wels/Upper Austria, which will open up even better opportunities for us to comprehensively and competently serve the Austrian market.”
Existing customers in Austria include renowned companies such as ACH solution GmbH, Welser Profile Austria GmbH and Your-Tool GmbH. “We have received very positive clients feedback in response to our new MOLDINO direct sales approach including 360° support. Because many of them prefer a close partnership with the manufacturer,” emphasizes Karsten Baas. “Working in cooperation with our customers, we bring high-quality tools and the process optimization concept Production50®. And, of course, top service, which - in combination with the expertise of our process optimizers - creates a highly attractive package.”
MOLDINO Tool Engineering became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Group in 2020. Up to March 2020, the Japanese tool manufacturer operated successfully under the name Mitsubishi Hitachi Tool Engineering. The new company name MOLDINO - a combination of the words ‘Mold’ & ‘Die’ + ‘Innovation’ - emphasizes the focus on mold and die making. MOLDINO will continue to provide the industry with holistic and innovative solutions.
The Production50® manufacturing concept describes the holistic view of production processes in machining. The aim is to permanently adapt these to the growing demands of the market through optimizing the entire process chain. The manufacturing costs can be divided into tool costs, fixed costs and production costs: While 70 percent is made up of variable production costs (including machine costs, wages, energy), tool costs account for around 5 percent only. As companies from mold and die industry are unable to compensate the rising cost pressure by reducing tool costs. However, they have a major effect on variable production costs and these are the focus of attention. With Production50®, production processes can be designed in such a way that molds and dies are produced faster and therefore more efficiently. This makes Production50® the ideal approach to sustainably enhancing the competitiveness of the company.
