Short interview with Albert Sadowski: "The new logo symbolizes the entitlement of MMC Hitachi Tool as an innovator in tool and mold making.“
Albert Sadowski, Managing Director and COO of MMC Hitachi Tools european headquarter who has been with the company since 1989, gave a brief interview on the new corporate logo and core competence of MMC Hitachi Tool.
MMC Hitachi Tool has a new logo …
The Hitachi Tool Engineering, Ltd. belongs to the Mitsubishi Materials Corporation Group (MMC) by 51% since April 1, 2015. In this course, the name change to MMC Hitachi Tool Engineering, Ltd. took place and its wholly owned subsidiary MMC Hitachi Tool Engineering Europe GmbH. In order to maintain a unique selling point within the group the new logo was created: MOLDINO
What does MOLDINO stand for?
MOLDINO is the English summary of "MOLD" + "DIE" + "INNOVATION" (mold making + die making + innovation). In addition the logo is underpined by the claim "The Edge to Innovation". It symbolizes the entitlement of MMC Hitachi Tool as an innovator with its own research, development, manufacturing and application consulting. A clear statement with a focus on the future which reiterates what has been practiced for over three decades.
Do you also associate a new market presence with the new MOLDINO logo?
Superficially MMC Hitachi Tool does not take a completely new approach to market presence under the new MOLDINO logo. Instead the route is more to consistantly strengthen proven concepts that are geared to the future. Thus we will continue to focus exclusively on the needs of die and mold making as we have done in Düsseldorf since 1983. Incidentally customer service initially took place via a selective technical dealer network. For more than 20 years we now rely on our own application engineers who are high experienced in the industry.
The new logo "MOLDINO" stands for Mold & Die and Innovation
You regard the application technology as a core competence of MMC Hitachi Tool ...
Our customers have successfully faced global competition for many years. Producing molds and tools more precisely and faster poses daily challenges for the industry. Especially at market prices, which are also accepted by the end user. Under these conditions, integrating our products into the manufacturing process at the customer, applying them reliably and achieving high reproducibility are fixed objectives of our practice-proven application consulting. The procedure is focused on a high degree of standardization in order to enable the customer fully automatic processes. This requires a detailed and precise consideration of the processes. At this point the application engineers of MMC Hitachi Tool place in position. At eye level with the customers they are increasingly acting as "process optimizers".
how does it look in practice?
Today it is no longer enough just to establish a cutting tool in the process. Rather to significantly reduce production times it is necessary to investigate the entire process chain: construction, CAM programming including tool selection and toolpaths / production strategies, cutting data, material and machine selection, tool and workpiece clamping and cooling through to chip removal. Everything has to be evaluated, adapted and coordinated. At this point, our customers in Germany have around 30 and in the rest of Europe another 60 "process optimizers" at their side. To intensify its collaboration with customers and provide time-consuming support, MMC Hitachi Tool plans to deploy a total of 150 field staff by 2022.
MMC Hitachi Tool Engineering GmbH focuses on die and mold making as a target group and now has a tool program that covers the entire process chain in soft and hard machining. In Germany around 30 specialists work with more than 30 years of european wide experience. Particularly helpful here is the specially developed TAR-Database with over 16,000 application reports. Increasing time and cost pressure in die and mold making requires shorter process times and more efficient machining methods using the specially developed Production50 manufacturing concept. MMC Hitachi Tool offers innovative tool technologies and individual service which face these high demands.
